Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 5th Annual Diamonds Leadership Conference and Annual Meeting at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, July 19-20. It was a jam-packed weekend of fun, networking, learning and a time to give thanks to those who make Girl Scouting possible in communities throughout the Diamonds Council.
The Cookie-sale-a-bration, hosted by Little Brownie Bakers, kicked off the excitement Friday evening. Volunteers relived childhood as they painted their nails in different colors, and posed for the photo booth. A sneak peek of the girl rewards for the 2014 Cookie Program were on display and everyone had the opportunity to vote for their favorite. A crowd favorite was the Family Feud -Girl Scout Style game show ! The evening came to an end with internet safety and pinterest training sessions along with off site bowling.
Saturday was a time of thanks as volunteers, donors, and community partners were recognized for their contributions to the Girl Scout Movement. Lena Moore, Deputy Executive Director of the Clinton Foundation (top right),accepted the Strategic Partnership of Excellence Award, recognizing the valuable partnership between the Diamonds Council and the Clinton Foundation. Later in the ceremony, Faith Mullins was honored as the recipient of the first Spirit of Giving Award for her commitment to Girl Scouting.
