Dear Girl Scout Family and Friends:

In August 2012, Girl Scouts - Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas announced our intention to relocate the Jonesboro regional office to a location better suited for girl programming, while keeping within the Jonesboro area.

The current location provides Girl Scouts with a beautiful building that has served us well over the years.  As the area around our Jonesboro location has continued to develop over the last few years, the increase in traffic has caused concerns for the safety of girls visiting our office.  Additionally, we have identified a real need for larger outdoor program facilities to better serve our girls.  The addition of the new Northeast Arkansas Medical Center directly across the street from our office has increased the value of our current building dramatically.  This has presented us with an opportunity for improvement that will provide our girls with better and safer facilities.

We have purchased a new location at the One Place office building, located at 3434 One Place, which will serve as our permanent Jonesboro regional office and provide great program space for our girls.  We will move into our permanent location at One Place in May 2014, and will hold a grand opening for the public once we have permanently relocated.  In the interim, the Jonesboro office will relocate to a temporary space at 4508 Stadium Boulevard in Jonesboro.  This temporary facility will serve us well until we can move into our permanent location at One Place.

The process of relocating to our temporary facility at 4508 Stadium Boulevard will begin on December 5, 2013.  In order to complete this move and set up our temporary location for business, our Jonesboro location will be closed December 5 – 9, and will reopen, resuming regular business hours, on Tuesday, December 10, 2013.

The relocation of the Jonesboro office presents a tremendous opportunity to serve our girls in an environment that is better suited to programming needs and provides ample space for outdoor programs.  We are incredibly grateful for all of our supporters who contributed time, energy and financial contributions that helped build and shape our current Girl Scout facility in Jonesboro.  We hope that you will share in our excitement of this wonderful opportunity and stop by and visit with us once we have relocated.

Sincerely,

Dawn Prasifka
