Objective
The Diamonds Property Patch Program is designed to encourage troops, families and/or individuals to visit and utilize each of the Diamonds Council outdoor properties. The patch program is designed to be progressive per level/girl abilities; for example, Daisy Girl Scouts will complete the least difficult requirements, Ambassador Girl Scouts will complete the most difficult.
Patch Design
There are eight (8) segments to the Diamonds Property Patch, each representing a different Diamonds property and will spell out “Diamonds” when complete.
D = Burnham Woods and Peg Brazleton Nature Center, Fort Smith
I = Camp Taloha, Pine Bluff
A = Camp NOARK, Huntsville
M = Camp Crossed Arrows, Floral
O = Camp High Point, Mena
N = Camp Kemp, Texarkana
D = Radford House, Hot Springs
S = Camp Cahinnio, Booneville
Patch Requirements
- Each level has five (5) steps to complete in order to earn the patch segment associated with a specific property. These five components involve length of visit, history of the property, property-related service project, camp activities and photo documentation of the visit.
- Go there!! Visit each of the Diamonds properties. Enjoy their beauty and uniqueness!
- History: History is important and all Council properties have their own stories to tell! (Property histories can be found on the Diamonds website.)
- Service: Service is at the heart of Girl Scouting, and Girl Scouts always leave a place better than they found it!(Site-specific service opportunities will be furnished upon request. Contact the property’s Ranger at least one (1)week prior to visit for a list)
- Camp Activities: Take a hike, climb a rock, canoe across a lake, picnic on the grounds and more!
- Photography: Record your visit through photos and share your photos with others!
