Service Unit Recognitions Ceremonies:
Service Teams are asked to recognize
the adults from their area who will be receiving awards. While Service Teams are free to determine
dates, times, locations and design of their ceremonies, the Council will
provide a basic outline to follow. As
April is designated nationally as “Volunteer Appreciation Month”, it is
suggested that Service Unit ceremonies be held in April if possible. Service
Units are responsible for planning their individual events including: securing
dates/times, locations, invitations, and providing refreshments. Awards can be purchased at any Council
shop. Please allow at least 60 days
after placing order for award to arrive at the shop.
Council Recognitions Ceremonies:
Diamonds Council will host ONE Recognitions Luncheon annually. The annual date, location, registration instructions, and forms for Council Recognitions will be announced on the website, Facebook and in L-VINE.
- Council Award recipients will receive free admission to the luncheon; others may register for a nominal fee to help defray the cost of the meal
- Invitations to award recipients will go out by late March annually
- Each award recipient will receive their award plus a Council Awards booklet (containing photos of Gold Award recipients and listing all other awards for the entire Council)
