Training & Support

Girl Scout Councils provide training for adult volunteers, whether the adult chooses to be a leader or a board member.  From Council to Council, training is customized and delivered in different ways to fit the needs of local adults.  The Girl Scout Program and messages, however, are the same throughout the organization.

So you want to volunteer?

All volunteers must:

  • Submit a volunteer application to any regional office
  • Submit a background check application to any regional office

** If you are a one-time (episodic) volunteer, or you do not come into contact with girls on a 1:1 ration, then you do not need to submit a background check application.
