Scout-O-Rama Weekend Option

Girl Scouts – Diamonds Signature Event
Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts from across Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana will come together for a weekend of camping, games and awesome activities. Friday night will feature a campfire, skits and snacks. Saturday will feature an opening ceremony followed by a 4 States Scout Show with activities including soap box racing, BB gun range, traditional Native American dancing, historic re-enactments, a chili cook-off, council patch trading and more.

Host a scout craft booth!
Troops and service units are encouraged to set up a scout craft booth or display at the Scout Show on Saturday and enter the activity booth competition (See judging criteria and info and ideas). Sign up to host a booth here. Troops must supply their own materials, tents and tables.
Troops and families should bring all provisions for the weekend including tent, supplies, and food for Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Sunday breakfast. Food vendors and a chili cook-off ($5 entry) will be available on-site during Saturday lunch). Campfires are not permitted on the ground but participants are allowed to bring a metal fire pit or camping grill to cook on. There are a few charcoal grills throughout the park but groups will need to bring their own charcoal and other supplies. VOII not required unless outdoor cooking.
Skits & Songs at Friday Night Campfire
Troops are encouraged to prepare a skit or song to share at the Friday night campfire! Skits and songs should be brief (1 minute or less) and represent Girl Scouts positively. Sign up to perform HERE.
Cost & Patches
Registration is free, but patches are an additional cost. Purchase 1 patch for $2 or a set of 6 identical patches to trade with scouts from other councils for $8. Register before March 28 to receive a limited edition 2018 patch. All registrations after this date will receive the standard patch (same as last year) while supplies last.
Patch trading: Trade patches with scouts from other councils to complete the Build a Patch activity. Participants may order a t-shirt and hexagon patch (approx. 9”x9”) for an additional $15 by filling out and mailing pages 2 and 3 of this order form with payment to the address on the form. Orders must be received by Caddo Area Council April 7.
G.I.R.L. Rocker Patches: If you intend to use this event as an Innovator, Risk-taker or Leader Rocker make-up opportunity, please complete this form to request your make-up rocker. Rockers will either be sent to the event or delivered to your service unit. Girls must register for and participate in Scouting U at Camp Cahinnio, Scout-O-Rama or the Magic Springs Campout to earn a make-up rocker. Rockers available while supplies last. Families are welcome! Non-Girl Scout parents and siblings are welcome to register for and attend this event.
Membership and background check policy: Adults and Girl Scouts must be registered members to spend the night. Adults must have a current background check on file with the council. Adult memberships and background checks not needed for Saturday attendees only.
Girls may attend individually with a parent or as a troop. Adults (parents included) attending this event must be registered for this event. Please, no drop-offs.
