We are committed to ensuring all girls have the opportunity to participate in Girl Scouts. In order to remove financial barriers that may interfere, we offer limited funds to help members who would be unable to join in Girl Scout activities without financial support from our council.
Financial Assistance for Membership
Financial assistance is not a primary source of funding for members or troops. Troops are encouraged to facilitate girl-led financial planning for their activities. Remember – cookie money is renewal money!
Financial aid is available to assist with the cost of membership dues only.
Financial aid MUST be requested by the parent/guardian and can only be requested via online Girl Scout registration. Please be aware that financial aid is limited and awarded on a first come, first served basis until available funds are expended.
Financial Aid will be available starting July 1. Girls applying for financial aid for the first time will be awarded $25. Girls applying for a second year will receive $12.50. Girls applying for a third year or more will not receive funding. Parents will be notified by email when a request is approved.
These guidelines apply until resources are exhausted. Financial Assistance is supported by individual donors, grants and product programs.
