Girl Scouts - Diamonds Signature events take place annually in varied areas of the council and offer a unique, theme-focused experience for girls throughout the council. 

Magic Springs Campout

New, earlier date this year! Enjoy a special night at Magic Springs complete with a nighttime roller coaster ride, a movie and popcorn under the stars, SWAPS trading and a campout with your fellow Girl Scouts! Saturday, have the family join in on the fun with special Girl Scout discount tickets, and enjoy a special concert that night! Rocker make-up opportunity (while supplies last). Girls may attend with their troop or a parent. Adults must be registered members and background checked as this is an overnight event. No tagalongs. Families may join the next day.

Girls may attend individually with a GS member parent or as a troop. Adults (parents included) attending this event must be registered for this event. Please, no drop-offs.

Gold, Silver and Graduating Seniors Award Ceremony

The Gold Award and Silver Award are the highest and most prestigious Girl Scout awards and are the culmination of the Girl Scout Leadership experience. Join us in celebrating the amazing young women of Girl Scouts – Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas who have dedicated themselves to making the world a better place as well as recognizing our graduating seniors as they begin their journey as Girl Scout alumnae. This year’s Gold Award Girl Scouts, Silver Award Girl Scouts, all graduating Girl Scout high school seniors and their friends and families are invited to join us for this event. 

Annual Meeting and Leadership Conference

Join Girl Scout volunteers and Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors from across the council for a weekend of awards, recognitions, workshops, expo booths and the Girl Scouts - Diamonds Annual Meeting.

Plan to register early once registration opens - last year's event sold out before the registration deadline.

Earn the ‘I’m a Girl Scout FUNdraiser’ Patch

Girls can earn the "I’m a Girl Scout FUNdraiser" patch for helping Girl Scouts – Diamonds obtain in-kind donations from the community for the 2019 Annual Meeting and Leadership Conference silent auction, which raises money for the Membership Financial Assistance fund. This opportunity is open to all girls! Here’s how to earn the patch:

Go out into the community with the Annual Meeting and Leadership Conference Silent Auction Form and obtain in-kind donations from local businesses. Donations must be from a business to earn the patch.

Follow the submission guidelines on the form for items that your girl obtains!

When you submit the form, please make sure each girl’s name is on the form in the space provided, so we know she’s earned her patch! Additionally, please indicate how the girl would like to receive her patch:

Pick up patch at the Annual Meeting and Leadership Conference at the Fund Development booth) or at a regional office after August 1, or it may be mailed directly to the girl (available as soon as the form and items are received).

Cardboard Boat Regatta and Jamboree

Stay tuned for next year's event | September 2019

Come out to the Cardboard Boat Regatta and Jamboree to plan and build a sea-worthy boat made entirely of cardboard and duct tape. In teams of 3 or 4 Girl Scouts, you’ll be constructing and racing your boat to the soggy finish. All participants should come prepared to build a boat and get wet. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd speed winners in each age group as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for overall design.

During and after the races, enjoy other STEM, aquatic and other traditional camp and outdoor activities. As night falls, join us for a view of the sky with a professional astronomer!

Families are welcome at this event!

Rally the troops! Join us for our 2020council cookie rally! Join Girl Scouts from across the council to celebrate the kick-off of the new cookie year. Take part in fun (and educational!) activities to master the 5 Skills and boost your financial literacy skills to help you have your best cookie season yet! Troops who sign up to run a rally station or lead a younger girl financial literacy badge/petal workshop will receive 5 free admissions to the event. Friday overnight optional. Earn your Leader Rocker! Girls may attend with their troop or a parent. Families welcome!

G.I.R.L. Leadership Summit

Highlights from last year's event:

Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors—how will you change the world? This older girl leadership retreat will focus on how teens can take the lead on issues of justice, inclusion and women’s empowerment from your school to your world. Strengthen your leadership skills at this weekend-long retreat and learn how you can discover what moves you, connect with others who share your passion and take action to make world a better place. You might even find your inspiration for your Gold or Silver Award project! Earn your Leader Rocker! Girls may attend with their troop, and drop-off accommodations may be available. No tagalongs.

Girl Scout Jamboree

Girl Scout Jamboree | Spring 2020

Join us for an outdoor fun-filled Girl Scout weekend! Girl Scouts and their families are invited to camp out and enjoy tons of outdoor activities including a traditional Girl Scout campfire, outdoor cooking, hiking, shooting sports, canoeing, a live animal presentation, star gazing and more! Girl Scout troops and service units are encouraged to set up their own activity stations highlighting fun Girl Scout activities, games or projects. A Girl Scout pop-up shop will also be onsite. Girls are encouraged to make swaps to trade with fellow Girl Scouts!
