GIRL Leadership Summit - Hybrid
The 2021 GIRL Leadership Summit is a hybrid event designed to educate, inspire and challenge our Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts. The event will feature several live stream speakers paired with a variety of “on your own” interactive activities. Girls will hear directly from experts in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, with the opportunity to pose their own questions. We have also partnered with the Museum of Discovery for a live presentation with an at home, hands-on component. Hybrid challenges will cover topics from mental health and yoga to community service and sisterhood challenges. Friday night will be a fun kick-off to the event with a live cooking segment, time for girls to virtually meet, and an official kick-off to your Summit challenges.
While this event is available to individual Girl Scouts, we encourage troops and their leaders to participate together as health, safety and COVID protocols allow. This is also a bring a friend event! These activities will be beneficial and fun for all girls so gather your crew and get ready for a weekend of leadership development with your Girl Scout sisters!
Please note: Activities for this event are designed for the older girl-specific age groups. If we see high interest from the Senior and Ambassador level, these Girl Scouts will have their own space and activities separate from the Cadette age level. Thanks for understanding!
Supplies: Supplies lists, challenge materials, meeting links and other documents needed to make this the best event possible will be uploaded into a shared GIRL Leadership Summit drive that will be sent to registered participants the week before the event. We will not be mailing out individual documents to registration, but they will all be available for print and use before or after the event!
Every registered participant will receive a GIRL Leadership Summit patch! Girls who are registered by April 9 will receive a GIRL Leadership Summit bkit with some fun and helpful items, their patch and printed materials (available at the time), to accompany the event. Those registered after the 9th will receive these following the event. Please make sure you enter the correct mailing address when you register to ensure you receive your kit.
For safety purposes, every adult attending this event must register. Adults or children not registered for this event will not be allowed to attend.
All event attendees must adhere to council COVID-19 Guidelines.
Registration deadline April 23
