This IS a drop off event! Council staff will be supervising Girl Scouts.
Older Girl Scout Retreat: Lead with Confidence
Saturday, February 4 at 9am to -Sunday, February 5 at 2pm
Seniors and Ambassadors are invited to a retreat just for them! Girl Scouts will focus on leadership and confidence by working through the Becoming Me Program Series that was inspired by former First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama’s book Becoming: Adapted for Young Readers. Girl Scouts will have the opportunity to earn up to 2-3 badges over the weekend, hear from inspirational women, learn about themselves, and think/prepare for their futures. To prepare for this event girls will be given either a hard copy or digital copy of the Becoming Me book to read beforehand.
Girl Scouts will check in at 9am on Saturday and check out on Sunday at 2pm. The majority of activities will be taking place indoors at the STEAM Center and Kelly Cabin. Girl Scouts will be sleeping in Kelly Cabin. This is a heated facility without cots/beds. Girl Scouts should bring a sleeping pad or air mattress (no bigger than twin size) along with sleeping bag/bedroll to sleep on. Saturday lunch, snack, dinner and Sunday breakfast and lunch provided.
Badges Earned: Seniors earn all three of the badges in program series and Ambassadors will earn two of the three.
