Spend a day growing your green thumb at The Learning Fields at Chaffee Crossing. Start with a practical spring gardening lesson covering soil preparation, seeds and seedlings, watering, and simple care tips. Continue with a guided tour of the gardens and greenhouses to see these practices in action and ask questions. Then roll up your sleeves for a hands on activity and, weather permitting, help plant spring vegetables in the Children's Garden planting beds.
If weather does not cooperate, we will provide a comparable indoor or covered activity so everyone still gets meaningful planting time.
