Camp 479
Play like a Girl Scout,
Party like a Grown Up!

A night of unconventional fun and camp-y adventure.

Stay tuned for the announcement of the 2024 date soon!

Have your own Girl Scout Camp adventure! Join us for an evening of fun for both men and women, with camp and outdoor activities along with signature cocktails, dinner, music and a limited silent auction. Camp 479 is designed to give guests just a taste of the outdoor skills and adventures girls experience in Girl Scouts. Gather your “troop” of friends, learn new skills, and earn badges – just like a Girl Scout!

Camp 479 supports Girl Scouts – Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. Funds from this event provide financial assistance for girls and adults, training for leaders, and support our local Girl Scout camp property, Camp NOARK in Huntsville.

As soon as the 2024 date is set, we will open table sponsorships and other sponsorship opportunities. For more information about the event and sponsorships, please email us.

Camp 479 Activities

The badge experiences, activity stations and other elements of the evening at the 2023 event were a big hit with out guests. You can expect more of the same in 2024 for you and your "troop".

Each guest received an honorary Girl Scout sash and had the opportunity to fill it up with commemorative badge buttons and fun activity stickers to show off all their accomplishments!

Badge Experiences
Girl Scouts are always up for trying new things and learning new skills, and when they do, they earn badges! At Camp 479, you'll get a taste of the skills and adventures girls experience in Girl Scouts and you too will earn a badge!

Badge opportunities may include these classic camp activities:

Archery
BB Gun target shooting
Hatchet throwing
S'mores in the outdoors
Knot tying
STEAM
First Aid
Arts and Crafts - in this special activity, guests will contribute to a collaborative craft to be displayed at our Camp NOARK in Huntsville.

Fun Patch Activities
When Girl Scouts take part in activities just for fun, they often receive a fun patch. There will be plenty of opportunities to collect fun patch stickers at Camp 479 at activities like:

Camp set-up competitions - how fast can you roll-up your sleeping bag and stuff it back in its bag, or pitch a tent, or other similar feats!
GORP station - make your own custom trail mix (GORP=Good Old Raisins and Peanuts)
Cookie Cornhole
Signature cocktail - sample a special drink featuring Girl Scout flavor vibes
Photo booth - group your troop for a fun, photo memory
